BioClonal actively participated in the second edition of the #UnDíaConUnaMujerBiotech program, an initiative promoted by the Spanish Bioindustry Association (AseBio) aimed at introducing female students to the professional world of biotechnology. This program offers future scientists the opportunity to closely observe how companies in the sector operate, promoting visibility and female talent in this key area of technological and health development.
On this occasion, Rebeca Alfonso Cuesta, a biomedical student at the European University of Madrid, visited BioClonal’s facilities. During her visit, she spent a day with Jessika Valero, the company’s Technical Director, and Javier Garfella, the Scientific Director. She also had the opportunity to interact with the rest of the team and gain first-hand knowledge of the projects and processes the company is developing.
BioClonal highlights the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the link between academia and industry, emphasizing the commitment of students participating in these programs as a guarantee of a promising future for the biotechnology sector.
The day ended on a positive note for both parties, reinforcing the objective of fostering interest and active participation of young female students in the field of biotechnology.
